As the excitement following the success of Splash Fashion Paradise begins to settle down, there is even more excitement at the Splash offices surrounding the launch of our two newest brands — DNM and Elle. These latest additions to our portfolio offer varied wardrobe choices and a collection that is bound to leave you wanting to create some extra space in your summer wardrobe.

Launched on April 8 2012, Splash DNM is all about denim and offers a broad bandwidth of styles in a variety of fits, colours and designs. The DNM brand symbolizes a lifestyle choice and is all about providing denim for everybody. To launch the new collection we shot an experiential campaign that is aptly titled ‘Get Dirty’, which comes across as extremely credible. To give customers the raw and edgy feel of denim, we shot ‘Get Dirty’ in a cement factory in Dubai with a group of professional models accompanied by the three finalists, chosen from almost 8000 entries, in the competition to be the face of the brand.

Moving forward from this revolutionary denim shopping experience, the second new addition to our portfolio is French fashion brand Elle. Symbolizing freedom and optimism, the collection gels beautifully with the wide offering of fashion available at Splash. Creating a unique shopping experience of accessible fashion, this brand connects with women who love to play with style, and also has an influence on men’s lifestyles — grooming them to be trendy, smart and modern.
We are delighted to present these two new offerings, but the fun doesn’t stop there. We’re constantly updating our Facebook page to bring you the latest collections, together with exciting competitions and giveaways. So get ‘liking’ us, or stop by one of our stores for a unique take on fashion.
Give your blue jeans a spring break. This season’s hot trend is all about colour, especially for that classic material we all love — denim.

Following last season’s trend of colour blocking, this fab fabric gets a facelift in eye-catching pops of neon, cool pastel hues and girly floral prints. Skinny jeans and cut-off hot-pants get the treatment, while denim button-down shirts are trending in ‘ombre’ or dip-dye shades.
Colour blocking is still very much in, and works great with the coloured denim trend. But beware, it’s easy to go from classy to clownish – so be careful when pairing printed tops with coloured denim. Stick with understated prints in a similar colour palette for a feminine look that will turn heads but not burn retinas. To avoid embarrassing fashion faux-pas, here’s how to wear this trend with flair.
6 ways to wear Spring 2012’s Coloured Denim trend
1. Cool-hue skinny jeans with same-palette striped/printed tee
2. Bold-tone jeans with a metallic top and vest
3. Floral printed shorts with wedge heels
4. Neon jeans with a basic tee
5. Colour blocking: pick two colours at opposite ends of the colour wheel and rock it!
6. ‘Ombre’ dip-dyed button-down denim shirt
